COLD BORE TECHNOLOGY

This is a logo I did for a drilling technology company in western Canada. Logo was designed with a combination of hand sketching (see sketches below) and Adobe Illustrator for the final vectors.

Logo concept #2, with rationale. This was my least favorite of the two, but the client suggested that we rotate it, so that it looked more like a drill, and that led us to the final version.
Here's where I began experimenting with rotating the logo, per the client's feedback.
I thickened and simplified the linework, figured out the colors, and this was the logo they ultimately selected.
